Are you saying I should do a factory reset of the handset? If so, does that mean that the handset is receiving a request to goto 'XYZ' and it figures out itself how to do that? (and is f*#ing it up)? I'd previously thought that the mount was only following directional command by AstroTelescope/SkySafari. You can plate solve, capture, and guide all within the same application. I used cloudmakers for a short time on my mac but I find Kstars with Ekos to me much easier and intuitive. Is there a way you can completely clear the mount model? Sounds like it may have been aligned on the wrong side of the meridian.
